Biotechnology is one of the most important arenas in modern scientific research as the field harnesses cellular and biomolecular methods to develop products and technologies that help improve our lives and the overall health of the planet. Rayat-Bahra University provides a three years undergraduate program in Biotechnology that trains the candidates with skills to alter the DNA of various living organisms with the application of different biological techniques to modify products so that it can be used for human needs. With the growth in Genetic Engineering and the advancement of research in Biotechnology, the possibility of changing DNA to change the characteristics and functions of organisms has increased the chances for the candidates to find newer alternatives. Further, Biotechnology has spread to different disciplines like Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biotechnology, etc where new discoveries are being made through this natural science field. The BSc Biotechnology curriculum of the University is designed to teach students the fundamentals of management and entrepreneurship which is one important feature and unique feature of this course. After completion of the program, the candidates will be equipped with the skills to excel in Bioinformatics and Computer-Assisted Research and Analysis.
