OVERVIEW

B.Sc Computer Science is a unique 3-year programme jointly offered by department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Being the first of its kind, this program is composed to match the requirement of advanced mathematics in modern scientific /technical innovations and problems. The programme covers all aspects of computers right from the basic fundamentals of computers to database systems & advanced courses like C++, Java etc.

  • There are two components in the program- Mathematics and Computing.
  • The two components are combined in such a way that the mathematical and analytical portion in the curriculum forms the basis on which the technical aspects of computing are developed.
  • Graduates of computing and mathematics who have solid bases are in high demand in the corporate sector due to the heavy use of computers and computer-assisted technologies.
  • As learning advanced computational techniques in the field of mathematics is the need of time, so the department offers many software-based courses.

B.Sc Computer Science includes several topics like Probability & Statistics, Algebra, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Operating System, Computer Architecture, Database Management, Internet Technologies, Cloud Computing and Software Engineering that helps you in data analytics and plays a major role in shaping your future. The main aim of this program is to create quality professionals and research fellows who can work in every sector of the world by implementing the technology of computer systems and software.

    • The student has cleared all the courses prescribed for the program.
    • The student has obtained at the end of every semester SGPA of at least 4.5 for Diploma & under graduate courses and SGPA 5.0 for post graduate courses. (For M.Pharm, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Pharm (Practice) Courses, SGPA will be 5.0).
    • The student has obtained a minimum CGPA of 5.00 for Diploma & under graduate courses and CGPA 5.5 for post graduate courses.
    • The student has not taken more time than specified for completion of the course.
    • Student has satisfied all the rules of evaluation.
    • No case of indiscipline or unfair means is pending against the student.
    • No dues are pending against the student.
