OVERVIEW

Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology: BHMCT is a four-year intensive program spread over eight semesters. The program exposes the student to the diversity of the hospitality industry along with the development of intellectual and leadership qualities, thereby allowing them to progress into management. In addition, the program provides the hospitality industry with competent young professionals having the necessary knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes for key operational positions. The program also lays a strong foundation in vertical growth to higher education opportunities as well as enables students to take up research that is current and relevant.

  • Equipping students with knowledge and skills in both theory and management practice in the areas of hospitality including Food Production, Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Customer Service, and Facility Services.
  • Familiarize students with the hospitality environment by internship programs and practical hands-on training.
  • Enable students to develop their problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Provide a platform to pursue higher studies in the hospitality space.
  • Recognize the importance of outstanding guest service quality, server-guest relationships, and ethics.

Academic Records

    • The student has cleared all the courses prescribed for the program.
    • The student has obtained at the end of every semester SGPA of at least 4.5 for Diploma & under graduate courses and SGPA 5.0 for post graduate courses. (For M.Pharm, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Pharm (Practice) Courses, SGPA will be 5.0).
    • The student has obtained a minimum CGPA of 5.00 for Diploma & under graduate courses and CGPA 5.5 for post graduate courses.
    • The student has not taken more time than specified for completion of the course.
    • Student has satisfied all the rules of evaluation.
    • No case of indiscipline or unfair means is pending against the student.
    • No dues are pending against the student.
