Asia’s First PG Program In Railway Signaling And Telecommunication Under The Guidance Of IRSE, UK

Rayat Bahra University has taken a leap in employability-oriented education programme in collaboration with Railway academy under the guidance of IRSE (Institution of Railway Signal Engineers) to create, conduct and empower students to equip themselves with Railway Signaling and Telecommunication Technologies for an advance career in various rail projects across the globe.Railway Academy a flagship brand of Ilex academy (www.railwayacademy.org) is the knowledge & operations partner and is mandated to assist the alliance for program success. Railway Academy (A brand of ISPCPL) has collaborated with Rayat Bahra University for India’s First Programme with specialization in Signaling and Telecommunication Technologies (S&T) Engineering to train and create Job ready S&T professionals as demanded by ever expanding rail networks and railway projects companies.

Ilex Academy And IRSE UK:

Ilex Academy and Railway Academy are brand of (Innovative Strategies and Practices Consulting Private Limited (ISPCPL). Ilex Academy is authorized from the IRSE UK to offer PG Diploma in Railway Signaling and Telecommunications (https://www.irse.org/QualificationsCareers/Certified-Courses/Course-Information) . IRSE, UK is a professional institution for all those engaged in or associated with railway signaling, telecommunications and allied professions. The IRSE has its headquarters in London, UK and is active worldwide.The IRSE guided training Scheme aims to serve as a means of competence certification for people undertaking work in the Railway Signaling and Telecommunications (S&T) industry in India and world across a range of activities from maintenance through design, installation, testing, project engineering and senior technical managementwww.irse.org.

Rayat Bahra University & ISPCPL Collaboration:

Rayat Bahra University has entered an MOU with ISPCPL to offer PG Diploma in Railway Signaling and Telecommunications (S&T). RBU has taken this initiative to offer an employability related education program as per IRSE course syllabus to train and empower students to equip themselves with Railway Signaling and Telecommunication technologies for an advance career in various rail projects across the globe. ILEX Academy is the knowledge & operations partner and is mandated to assist RUAS for program proceedings.
Our Journey So Far and onwards
It has been a great year for our course since we started our first batch in April 2017. We got our first batch from different states like Hyderabad, Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and it was really a diverse mix of culture and experience. The 2nd batch had more diverse PAN India mix. We had freshers on one hand and experienced railway professionals with more than 5 years in the batch. It was quite a challenge keeping pace and level of curriculum to meet the expectations of all yet our railway experts and university faculty stood up well and excelled in providing best of railway education and exposure possible. Our academic journey encompassed company visits, rigorous industry focused training, mentoring from railway experts and hands-on exposure of railway signaling. With the kind support of IRSE INDIA SECTION, our initiative was welcomed in industry and supported at all levels of railway industry.
In the beginning of 2018, and onwards we are celebrating 100% placement starting from our first batch and still continuing and companies are welcoming our trained students with confidence. We have more job opportunities than students currently and it’s still on.
Our academic journey encompassed company visits, rigorous industry focussed training, mentoring from railway experts and hands on exposure of railway signaling. With the kind support of IRSE INDIA SECTION, our initiative was welcomed in industry and supported at all levels of railway industry.

    • The student has cleared all the courses prescribed for the program.
    • The student has obtained at the end of every semester SGPA of at least 4.5 for Diploma & under graduate courses and SGPA 5.0 for post graduate courses. (For M.Pharm, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Pharm (Practice) Courses, SGPA will be 5.0).
    • The student has obtained a minimum CGPA of 5.00 for Diploma & under graduate courses and CGPA 5.5 for post graduate courses.
    • The student has not taken more time than specified for completion of the course.
    • Student has satisfied all the rules of evaluation.
    • No case of indiscipline or unfair means is pending against the student.
    • No dues are pending against the student.
