RBU in association with Institute of Nutrigenetics & Nutrigenomics Research (INNR), Institute of Translational Health Science (ITHS), and EMBRYOGENESIS founded by Ms. Jyoti Garhewal & Prof. Pulakes Purkait, and established the “Institute of Translational Health Science” department at RBU campus in 2023. ITHS is a new age value added emerging translational Health science field and offering doctorate (Ph.D.), post-graduation (M.Sc.), under graduation (B.Sc.), PG diploma, Diploma and certificate courses. ITHS is well equipped with industry expert, and international recognized faculty to carry out both teaching and research through its five major department (i) Department of Nutrigenetics, (ii) Department of Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine (iii) ART & Clinical Embryology (iv) Department of Anthropology (v) Department of Cancer Biology

Prof. (Dr.) Pulakes Purkait, Director & HOD, Institute of Translational Health Science (ITHS) , Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, Punjab, India, Joined, in November 2022. Dr. Purkait, as an entrepreneur and Founder of reputed health science institute and Medical services [Institute of Nutrigenetics & Nutrigenomics Research (INNR), Institute of Translational Health Science (ITHS), EMBRYOGENESIS- Infertility Diagnostics & Research] with passion for health Science research has brought him to such a reputed university of north India. Dr. Purkait, being Scholar of Anthropology, Molecular Genetics, Reproductive Science and Translational Science, having 15+ years’ research and academic and administrative experience with 30+ national and international publications.

Additional fascination of Rayat Bahra University is that the only university in India having the “Institute of Translational Health Science” with State-of ART laboratory and own attached super speciality Hospital “Bahra Hospital” with new edge medical treatment facility. Translational Health science courses are covered in academics and professional experiences by transferring of technology by holding Laboratory training, Industry training, Hospital training, Seminars, Symposium, Tutorials, CME, & Workshop etc. RBU& ITHS believe that with the theoretical knowledge, practical exposure is essential for the industry level.
