Atmospheric Water Generator

The newly developed project was displayed by B.Tech students of 7th semester Mechanical Engineering under the guidance of Er. Abhinav A. Tripathi (HOD, M.E)  and Er. Harpreet Singh during the vist to the department by the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Parvinder Singh. An Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) is an appliance that employs dehumidification/condensing technology that extracts water from the humidity in the air. The AWG works on the same principle as a refrigerators and air conditioners i.e. on the principle of cooling through evaporation.

A Lecture on Intellectual Property Rights

USET, Mechanical Engineering Department, successfully organized an awareness lecture on Intellectual Property  Rights for B.Tech , M.Tech & P.hD students on 26 April 2022, on the occasion of WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAY.  Keynote speaker of the presentation was Er. Varinder Singh. During the presentation, the students acquired the knowledge about Intellectual Property rights (Copyright, Trademarks, Patent, and industrial Design). Also the  significance  and method of  filing a patent was discussed for the Master and PhD students. The response of the students was overwhelming. All faculty members and Head of Department were present during the lecture.

Exeprt Lecture On Analysis of Radiation Heat Transfer

Main objective of this expert talk was to introduce students with concept and application areas of radiation heat transfer.  Most specifically this expert talkwas focussed on effect of shape factor on radiation heat transfer. Heat transfer generally is process of transfering heat from one place to another or from one medium to another. There are three modes of heat transfer i.e. Conduction,Convection, Radiation.
