M.Tech Production Engineering
M.Tech Production Engineering is a 2 year Post Graduate course. M.Tech PE deals with the student development as well as technical knowledge of advanced concepts in Production and Manufacturing field. It is a comprehensive course related to Mechanical Engineering. Students will learn, understand the advanced concepts and Research related activities in Production field. Students are motivated to choose their area of research and contribute in research related activities during this course. This course is both practical as well as theoretical and has research projects with lab work. M.Tech PE covers topics related to computer aided Design and Manufacturing, Design of Experiments, Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Advanced Metal Working, Product Design and Development Operation Research, Heat and mass transfer etc.

Eligibility Criteria: B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) or any equivalent degree from recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The candidate must acquire a minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying exam. GATE is the national level entrance test which is accepted by almost every institute in India for admission to M.Tech Production Engineering.
Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)
Future prospect of the course: After completing M.Tech in Production Engineering, there are a plethora of career opportunities. There is a huge scope that students can further apply for PhD and also involve themselves in the research field in organisations after following due procedure for selection. M.Tech Production Engineers also have jobs scope in the Various Manufacturing industries and environmental and ecosystem organisations related. Some of the jobs which are provided to the candidate are as Scientist, Assistant Professor, Senior Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, and Quality Engineer. Further, they can apply in research and development laboratories of various Governments (DRDO, ISRO, BARC, and HAL etc.) and Private Limited industries (TATA, Reliance industries etc.) as Research associate and Project Officers.
